How do I book a session?
Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can talk about all the details!
What should I bring?
For newborn and baby sessions – I have a good selection of baskets, accessories and blankets, but feel free to bring something unique of your own.
Family & Children – You can just bring yourselves but if you’d like, a wardrobe change can be fun too.
How would you describe your style?
My style is naturally fun and classically beautiful.
When working with children, I will often make some time for them to get to know me so they feel comfortable before I jump into photographer mode. Although I will gently direct little ones, the best images often come when they are just having fun and acting naturally. This is true for adults as well, so be prepared to laugh at me as I do my best to make you feel relaxed.
How long does it take to get my images?
Please allow 2-3 weeks for your images to be completed. When they are ready I will email a personal online gallery. This gallery allows you to download all your images in high resolution so you can print and reproduce your images any way you’d like.
When should I have my newborn photographed?
You have a few options. Newborn photography can be done within the first few days of the baby’s arrival. Between 6- 12 days old is great because this is when babies are at their sleepiest and therefore easiest to pose. But, it doesn’t always work to come this early. I have loads of experience with “older” babies (2-8weeks) and will swaddle babies who don’t settle as well as brand new newborns.
I usually allow for at least two to three hours to photograph a newborn. This is because sometimes the little one needs some extra coaxing to sleep, they might need a feeding here and there, or maybe just a good cry. I know how babies can be, so I always allow time for all these things to happen and then pose them when they are ready. They call the shots.
Generally, the baby is nude, partially or fully swaddled or in special newborn photography clothes that our studio provides. In order to help get those angelic, sleepy poses, I suggest a few little tricks: feed them before you come and keep your baby awake as long as you can so they are sleepy for our time together. I keep a warm and cozy studio and also have a heating pad that really helps them drift off to sleep. Please note that every baby is unique so some will allow us to put them into certain poses and others won’t.
What forms of payment do you accept and when do we pay?
