This session has been a long, long time coming. Jenn and I discussed an inspiration session way back in January and then, as is often the case, life came along and interrupted our plans. After numerous attempts to get this going we finally made it happen in the last week of June. And what a perfect time it ended up being! My original thought, way back in January, was to have this beautiful lady shrouded in the early morning fog I enjoyed at Willband park. Sadly, there is not much fog this time of year so other plans had to be made. We discussed some water locations but that wasn’t going to be easy because we could only start our session at 6pm and that didn’t give us enough time to drive outside of Abbotsford. The third and final plan ended up being rather lovely anyway and we truly enjoyed this gorgeous tree and swing and the meadows full of flowers nearby. Definitely a new favorite place to photograph, I believe! I might just keep it a secret for a while. Thanks so much, Jenn, for being my inspiration and making my job so enjoyable!
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know this lovely young lady over the past few weeks during some photography training. So when she contacted me last minute to capture her and her soon-to-be-sold horse, Miko, I was really excited for the chance to photograph them. This session came together so perfectly and of course she was a natural in front of the camera. Miko on the other hand wanted nothing more than to play and eat (a little bit like photographing an energetic 2 year old, maybe). It was a fun experience, and as you can see, in the end he gave us what we wanted after all. What a sweet boy he was! We got to spend a particularly gorgeous sunny day together, wandering around grassy meadows and loving the warm weather. I really enjoyed working with them both and I hope I get the chance to photograph other clients with their beautiful horses in the future.
Oh, I am so excited! I haven’t done anything like this in years but I was feeling a little creative and wanted to offer some fun mini sessions. The style – West Coast Woodsy Christmas – and there are a few more elements (fun things to sit on) I will be adding before the big day, December 6th.
I am booking up fast so email right away for your spot.
Here is what I currently have available. ** Edited Nov 13th
Last winter during the “quiet” season, I was able to update my studio’s flooring, its paint, and the artwork on the walls (I promise photos will come when I get a few more details finished). This winter some of my goals have been to get my new website up and running, to design and produce new packaging materials for my various products, and to update and print my new product guide book. Regrettably, these things all seem to take longer than I first anticipated, but I’m so happy with the end results! The product guide looks fantastic, the new packaging materials look crisp and clean and lovely, and I think my customers will be able to tell how much effort goes into each and every one of their photographs. I have at least three other projects on my plate at the moment and those last few studio updates I want to finish are still in the works, but spring has sprung and they might have to wait till next winter. We’ll have to wait and see! For now, here’s a preview of some of my new packaging, booklets, and materials that we’ll be using sometime in the near future!
